I have been chosen to be the new principal! For a day… anyways, that still means I get lots of power. I would cancel school for the day but I have to list five things I would like to see. So the first thing I would like to see is that the dress code not being as strict, keyword: as. The dress code is kinda stupid. In PE the shorts have to be mid thigh, but that’s a little difficult. I once lost my PE shorts, so I wore some that I found at home, and apparently they were “too short.” They went a little above my mid-thigh and I got dress coded. So I want the dress code to not be so loose that like, people are showing up in some crazy stuff, but not so strict that people can go to school with shorter shorts, and tank tops, because I’m afraid if I wear one I’ll get dress coded. The second thing I would want is phones, phones are nice because you can communicate with friends and family from long distance, and have some fun. But they are restricted all throughout the school day. But I sometimes need to talk to my mom at lunch, because I might have something afterschool, or I forgot something. So I can’t tell my mom that, so I might have to not have lunch that day. But I want to unban phone… at lunch and recess. I understand not during class, so people can listen and not be disrupting, but during lunch, most people don’t do anything. They might talk a bit, but that’s really all. A lot of people are on their iPads anyways, so why would phones be so bad? The third thing is the school lunches. Sure, school lunch is hard when you have to have enough food to feed hundreds of people, but I’m not sure that chicken is even chicken. Or if it’s even edible. I would get rid of something like afterschool basketball, to save money to have better lunches. My fourth change I would make would be the teachers. I wouldn’t fire anyone, that would be rude taking away their jobs, I would just check in on them more to make sure they’re nice. I have some teachers that are mean and scary, and it always makes it harder to learn because I’m afraid if I do something wrong, they’ll get mad at me. The last thing I would change is the amount of field trips. We could do lots more fundraisers so we can go on more field trips. In sixth grade I only was able to go on a couple field trips, and those are because I did afterschool sports. Those are all the things I would change and why! Bye!
